Vendor Feature: Something Minted

We are really excited about this blog post because we get to highlight one of our favorite vendors, Something Minted! They answered a few questions about being wedding photographers and working with our band.

Tell us about yourself!
Something Minted is a Seattle and Portland area wedding photography team whose light-filled work captures connection and inspires celebration! Believers that the best things in life come from being present, we are available wherever love finds you.

What is your favorite thing about working in weddings?
My favorite part about working in weddings is how I get to help others hold on to the feeling they get when everyone they love is all in one place. Picture it: celebrating your legacy each time you pick up a photograph, because it reminds you of the best day along with the promise of ones to come.

Can you share a memory about working with Blue Wave Band?
There’s nothing like experiencing traditional dances lead into a great party; and in my book, Blue Wave Band does it best! They have a way of inviting every guest onto the dance floor, and I just love seeing different generations enjoying life together!

What is your most memorable experience as a wedding photographer?
Every wedding offers a memorable experience as a photographer, but learning words of welcome, gratitude and celebration from different cultures always pulls at my heartstrings. Toasts that begin with “Fáiltíonn míle” offer a thousand welcomes in Gaelic, just as those that end in “Živjeli!” offer no truer cheers in Croatian. And don’t get me started with bilingual ceremonies that repeat the word “Agradecido” to express wholehearted gratitude in Spanish ❤️
